Job summary

Alkar Human Resources is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance on production and facility equipment in Vacaville, CA. The role troubleshoots mechanical and electrical issues and helps maximize equipment efficiency while following safety policies.

You will work independently, prioritize tasks with minimal supervision, and may require overtime or weekend shifts in a fast-paced environment. Welding/fabrication skill is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment and maintenance.
• Experience with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and VFDs.
• Welding/fabrication experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment and outdoors.
• Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and changing shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment.
• Maintain/repair conveyors, automation, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps.
• Perform high- and low-voltage electrical troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and other electronic systems.
• Monitor equipment to ensure proper and efficient operation.
• Welding and fabrication as needed.
• Identify problems and implement effective solutions.
• Follow all company safety, health, and environmental policies.
• Work independently and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
• Complete training and other duties as assigned.
