Job summary

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division in Reno, NV is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/Technician to join the team. You will troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical systems, install and service PLCs, HMIs, drives, and control panels, and perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, ability to read schematics, and willingness to train on 1st shift for about 4–6 months. Competitive pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• HDGE or technical school diploma or associates in electronics/industrial electrical systems.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electronic and mechanical malfunctions on plant equipment.
• Repair mechanical power presses, power transmission devices, conveyors, and un-coilers.
• Install and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, vision systems, MCCs and drives.
• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Inspect electrical systems for hazards and NEC compliance.
• Install and repair electrical systems following blueprints and diagrams.
• Install new or used manufacturing equipment and fabricate as needed.
• Operate lift trucks and work at elevated locations.
