Job summary
Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a maintenance mechanic to perform a broad range of tasks in an industrial manufacturing setting. This role focuses on keeping equipment safe and productive by implementing preventative maintenance, reading manuals, and diagnosing malfunctions.
You will troubleshoot automation and electrical systems, install and calibrate PLCs and sensors, document tasks in CMMS, and collaborate with production teams while following lockout/tagout and arc flash
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary training preferred
- Apprenticeship program in maintenance millwrighting or equivalent training
- Strong knowledge of automation, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure reliability
- Troubleshoot automation, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
- Repair or replace defective components and subsystems
- Install, configure, and calibrate PLCs, sensors, and actuators
- Conduct inspections and tests and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to resolve issues
- Follow lockout/tagout and arc-flash safety protocols
- Document maintenance activities in CMMS or similar tools
- Pursue ongoing training in automation and safety
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to boost reliability and efficiency
