Gerdau Ameristeel Corp. is seeking a maintenance technician to perform maintenance, installation, and repair work on plant equipment and facilities. You will fabricate, build, and assemble new machinery and take on tasks with minimal supervision to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires knowledge of 480 3-phase electrical diagnosis, hydraulics, and the ability to read mechanical and structural drawings, plus familiarity with industrial automation, PLCs and HMIs.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge in 480 3 phase electrical diagnosis and use of multimeter.
• Must have moderate knowledge or experience with industrial hydraulics.
• Must have moderate knowledge or experience reading and understanding mechanical piping and structural drawings.
• Must have moderate knowledge or experience with mechanical systems, water systems and rotating equipment.
• Must have moderate knowledge or experience understanding industrial automation, PLC's and HMI's.

• Perform maintenance, installation and repair work on equipment, tooling and facilities to keep plant and office operations running smoothly.
• Fabricates, builds, and assembles new machinery as needed.
• Proceed on work assignments with minimum supervision.
