Job summary

SMS group is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Osceola, AR to maintain and repair factory equipment, industrial machinery, and related electrical systems. The role requires hands-on repair, diagnostic testing, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge of machines, tools, repair and maintenance.
• Electrical knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and electrical testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
• Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on complex electrical systems, including PLCs, VFDs, and motors.
• Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using testing devices.
• Read blueprints and schematics for installation and repair work.
• Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery.
• Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.
