Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a maintenance mechanic in Newnan, GA. You will work with minimal supervision to service and repair machinery, install pipe systems, and ensure safety adherence in a metal manufacturing setting.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in maintenance, with PLC experience preferred. Some overtime and on-call duties may be required. You will help support continuous production and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree in maintenance-related field preferred.
• 2 years minimum experience as a maintenance mechanic in metal manufacturing environment; troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO9001 standards for metals manufacturing.
• PLC experience preferred.
• Experience with and ability to use welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools preferred.
• Experience in high-speed packaging, welding, and mechanical power transmission preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Troubleshoot/repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, high speed welders, conveyors, and palletizers.
• Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment.
• Building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep.
• Repair and assess electrical issues as they arise.
• Familiarize yourself with our CMMS system and log labor/parts according to established expectations.
• Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts as required.
• Must participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours on off shift due to on-call program.
• Understands quality, PPE requirements, safety, and the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures.
