Job summary

U.S. Silica is seeking a Maintenance B to support mechanics, electricians, and mobile techs in maintaining plant machinery and facilities in Pacific, MO. The role emphasizes safe, reliable, and efficient operation with environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities include shift pre-checks, safety compliance, reporting hazards, and performing preventative maintenance. Welding, PPE, and basic software knowledge are valued assets for this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Focus on safety and quality in all tasks.
• Welding and other hot work proficiency.
• PPE must be worn at all times on duty.
• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environments.
• MSHA knowledge is preferred.
• Forklift experience is preferred.
• Computer software like WonderWare/JDE/MS Office preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect equipment and work area before each shift.
• Follow all company safety and health policies.
• Report unsafe conditions and lockout/tagout as required.
• Report accidents immediately and document findings.
• Keep high traffic areas clean and clear of debris.
• Perform preventive mechanical maintenance per procedures.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust production and safety equipment.
• Complete work orders on schedule and communicate with operations.
• Record tasks, request tools/parts, and inform management.
