Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is hiring a maintenance technician to support the poultry processing plant in Mocksville, NC. The role focuses on preventative and predictive maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveying systems, following blueprints and diagrams to ensure safe operation.

The position requires at least 1 year of relevant maintenance experience, basic math/computer skills, and the ability to work with basic tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in industrial machine predictive and preventative maintenance or demonstrated applicable mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Intermediate math and computer skills.
• Ability to operate/use basic hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, repair and perform preventative maintenance on industrial machinery (i.e. mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, conveying systems, etc) using blueprint and schematic drawings to ensure equipment is performing safely to required specifications.
• Identify root cause of basic mechanical issues and perform repairs by welding, fabricating parts, basic pipefitting or replacing defective component; notify appropriate personnel if further attention is required.
• Identify unsafe conditions and corrects; reports to appropriate personnel if unable to correct on own.
• Assist with maintaining a file of blueprints and operating manuals and procedures as needed.
• Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations
• All other duties as assigned
