Industrial Maintenance Technician - Night Shift

Mark Anthony Brewing is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician responsible for completing tasks integral to the operation and performance of the brewery. The technician performs duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated production and facility equipment, following safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems to support the plant's goals.

The technician ensures safety and quality are prioritized and collaborates with maintenance and other departments such as Operations, Quality, and Logistics to complete tasks timely and according to SOPs.

This role offers an opportunity to be part of an innovative team at a new, state-of-the-art brewing facility in Columbia, SC.

Accountabilities & Impact
Safety / Food Safety
  • Adhere to all safety policies, including PPE and GMPs.
  • Ensure equipment safety standards are met.
Technical Expertise
  • Effectively troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Perform predictive and preventive maintenance.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and repairs.
  • Participate in equipment upgrades and installations.
  • Utilize fabrication skills (cutting, welding) and work with electrical systems.
  • Read schematics for process, instrumentation, and control systems.
Documentation
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Complete work order paperwork and SOPs.
Team Collaboration
  • Coordinate with production and other departments to prevent disruptions.
Inventory Management
  • Manage parts using CMMS.
  • Report and document parts usage.
Communication
  • Ensure effective shift change communication.
  • Escalate safety, quality, or performance concerns.
Training & Development
  • Share technical knowledge with peers.
  • Train production staff on equipment operation and maintenance.
Process Improvement
  • Work with leadership on continuous improvement projects.
Skills & Experiences Needed
  • High school diploma; technical certification preferred.
  • 1-3 years industrial maintenance experience, preferably in beverage or packaging.
  • Skillful with hand/power tools, welding, electrical systems, schematics, and CMMS.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.

Working Conditions
  • Exposure to hazards, high noise, chemicals, extreme temperatures.
