Qualifications

Role Purpose

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain highly automated and advanced production machinery and equipment according to predictive maintenance schedules. This will ensure the smooth operation of equipment, minimize downtime, and meet efficiency goals.

Accountabilities & Impact

Safety / Food Safety

• Adhere to all plant and safety policies and procedures, including wearing PPE and following GMPs.
• Ensure equipment meets safety standards and regulations.

Technical Expertise

• Effectively troubleshoot equipment to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Plan and execute predictive/preventative maintenance efforts.
• Perform root-cause analysis and equipment repairs/improvements.
• Participate in equipment upgrades or installations.
• Utilize fabrication skills such as cutting and welding (MIG, TIG, or Stick) and work with electrical systems including 480VAC & 24VDC power.
• Read schematics for process and instrumentation diagrams, repair VFDs, servo motors, controllers, communication systems, PLC I/O cards, and safety modules.

Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and observations.
• Complete work order paperwork before leaving the plant.
• Coordinate with team members and update SOPs as needed.
• Work with production to schedule maintenance without disrupting operations.

Inventory Management

• Find parts using the CMMS system.
• Report and document parts used from inventory.
• Optimize resource usage, including tools and equipment.

Communication

• Ensure effective shift change communication.
• Escalate safety, quality, or performance concerns to supervisors.

Training and Development

• Share technical knowledge with peers.
• Train production staff on equipment operation and routine maintenance.

Process Improvement

• Collaborate on continuous improvement projects.
• Perform other duties as required.

Skills & Experiences Needed

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
• 1-3 years industrial maintenance experience, preferably in beverage or packaging.
• Proficient with hand/power tools, welders, lifts, multi-meters, and shop equipment.
• Ability to read schematics and repair VFDs, servo motors, controllers, and PLCs.
• Forklift experience is a plus (certification not required).
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word, email, and CMMS.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to hazards such as noise, chemicals, and physical obstacles.
• Subject to extreme temperatures.
• Must have endurance for long tasks.
• Fast-paced environment requiring standing/moving for 8-12 hours, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must wear PPE and follow GMPs.
