Job summary

Owens Corning is seeking a maintenance technician to perform major mechanical repairs with minimal supervision, ensuring safe operation of equipment at our facility. You will complete preventative maintenance programs, troubleshoot multi-craft systems, and work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment near heat, noise, gas, and chemicals.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with a trade school degree preferred, and at least 2 years of technical training or experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school degree preferred.
• Two years technical training or 2 years minimum experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and building components on industrial equipment.
• Possess basic knowledge of PLCs and controls.
• Perform multi-craft tasks and repair equipment breakdowns promptly.
• Work in a team-oriented atmosphere with continuous improvement toward a world-class production facility.
• This position requires continuous work near heat, noise, gas, and chemicals.
• The position requires frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending and kneeling.
• The position may require weekend and/or holiday work.
