Job summary

IQ Resource Group-Sheboygan is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance and Facilities Technician for a contract-to-hire role on the manufacturing floor. Hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-3:00 PM or 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, with possible weekend hours and weekly pay.

You will diagnose mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support equipment installations and upgrades while adhering to lock-out/tag-out safety practices. PPE, such as safety glasses and shoes, is required on the production floor.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical or industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings or manuals.
• Comfortable with hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Lock-out/tag-out knowledge and safety-conscious.
• Flexible, self-directed; able to handle diverse tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose root causes and repair motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, pumps and related systems.
• Must have solid understanding of lock-out, tag-out processes.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment and implement enhancements as needed.
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production support requests.
• Maintain maintenance logs and document completed work.
• Coordinate with pre-approved outside contractors and assist during on-site service work.
