Job summary

Syensqo is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Millwright in Baton Rouge, LA to repair and maintain plant equipment. The role runs Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with daily briefings to receive priorities and routine work orders.

The candidate will perform preventative maintenance, follow lockout-tagout, dismantle and repair equipment, and manage parts via SAP. Responsibilities include equipment alignment, leak checks, and installation; communicating status to keep plans current and ensure

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience is mandatory.
• Experience repairing pumps, seals, agitators, conveyor equipment, dryers.
• Good communication between personnel and safety 1st attitude is required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain plant equipment.
• Attend daily meetings to receive work orders and prioritise tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance on site equipment.
• Follow lockout-tagout procedures and ensure entry permits are documented.
• Dismantle failed equipment and repair/replace parts.
• Order replacement parts using SAP and coordinate with vendors.
• Re-install machinery and secure to foundations; lubricate bolts as needed.
• Align machines and check for leaks; ensure equipment operates efficiently.
• Communicate repair status to keep maintenance schedules up to date.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with EPA/DEQ/LDEQ, NEC, OSHA and ISO 9001.
