Job summary

Clean Harbors Deer Park is seeking a safety-minded Maintenance Technician with millwright/boilermaker experience to join a unionized team under the CBA. The role involves preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment across a 24/7 operation.

The position offers a rotating 4-on/4-off schedule with on-call duties, adherence to training and safety standards, and opportunities for overtime and career development within a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Passing Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test – required.
• Passing 1G (flat) or 3G (vertical) Welding Pre-Qualification Test – required.
• 3-5+ years of millwright and/or boilermaker type experience – required.
• Hydraulics system troubleshooting and repair – required.
• Experience operating a cutting torch (propylene) for metal cutting – required.
• HS Diploma or equivalent – required.
• Valid driver’s license – required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, disassembly, repair, and reassembly of parts.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair to ensure proper performance.
• Operate computer instrumentation to perform diagnostics and execute work orders.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
