Job summary

Nutrien is seeking a Maintenance Tech in Biola, CA to perform daily inspections and maintenance on assigned equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operations. The role involves installation, repair, and preventive maintenance across pumps, formulating lines, and utilities.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, strong knowledge of mechanical systems, and welding skills using MIG, TIG, and stick processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, agricultural processing, or production environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including pumps, gearboxes, bearings, compressors, boilers, and pneumatic equipment.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing rotating equipment, drive systems, and production machinery.
• Experience in performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Welding, fabrication, cutting, and metalworking using MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspection and maintenance on assigned equipment/area, including mechanical cleaning, lubrication, rebuilding, installation, and removal
• Perform maintenance or repairs on all formulation, packaging, and other equipment as assigned without jeopardizing safety or quality
• Assist in layout, assembly, and installation of piping and pumps associated with production, to include installation, repair, and replacement of gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment as instructed
• Assist in repair and maintenance of physical structure and utilities as instructed
• Recognize baseline operating conditions for assigned equipment and understand when those conditions are not being met
• Maintain clean, safe and organized work environment at all times
• Follow all safety policies and procedures including but not limited to LOTO, confined space, hot work, line and forklift operation
