Job summary

Atkins & Pearce in Covington, KY, is seeking a General Maintenance technician to perform machine care, carrier maintenance, and housekeeping in a manufacturing setting. The role requires forklift lic. and ability to lift 20–50 lbs; shift is 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday.

You will inspect carriers, operate a degreaser, disassemble/rebuild components, and help with changeovers. High school diploma or GED required; some mechanical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Some general mechanical experience preferred.
• Forklift license required for some tasks.
• Lock out certification.
• Ability to read labels and follow safety directions.
• Stand, lift 20–50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate machines (braiders, winders) and perform routine care.
• Replace floor dry, sweep and mop floors; assist with changeovers.
• Identify, inspect and assist with carrier repair or rebuild.
• Operate degreaser according to procedure.
• Wash spools; clean break rooms and grounds; manage waste.
• Assist with air wash maintenance and filter replacement.
