Job summary

Mittera in Illinois is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain printing presses and related equipment. You will work with the team to ensure production runs smoothly and downtime is minimized.

The role emphasizes reading blueprints, performing preventative maintenance, and coordinating with supervisors to keep operations compliant with OSHA/EPA rules and company safety standards.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school and three to five years of related experience and/or training
• Ability to read blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications
• Strong leadership, organization and communication skills
• Ability to implement preventative measures and develop new work techniques
• Ability to guide others and oversee safety teams

Responsibilities

• Observe machinery in operation to diagnose malfunctions and determine repairs
• Dismantle equipment to access defective parts
• Repair or replace defective parts and install components
• Coordinate with manager for preventative maintenance and parts replacement
• Ensure OSHA/EPA compliance and safety rules in the plant
