Job summary

INDQT is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Petersburg, VA to keep machinery running and plants production-ready. You will manage work orders, perform repairs on forklifts and conveyors, and lead safety practices on the shop floor.

A strong hands-on approach and teamwork are essential. With 3+ years in industrial maintenance, you will use Lean/5S principles, handle welding tasks, and participate in safety trainings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong mechanical skills with forklifts, conveyors, dock doors, and related equipment.
• Welding and metal fabrication expertise.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and safety practices.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own the Upkeep system: Track work orders, schedule repairs, and manage parts.
• Maintain equipment from forklifts to conveyors through inspections, repairs, and installations.
• Champion facility upkeep: keep plant clean, organized, and production-ready.
• Lead with safety: follow OSHA standards and company protocols.
• Collaborate on LEAN improvements and special projects with leadership.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently with training and certification.
