Qualified Staffing in Petersburg, VA seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician for a direct-hire role. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a range of industrial equipment, from forklifts to conveyors, and contribute to LEAN and safety initiatives.

This position requires 3+ years in industrial maintenance, strong mechanical skills, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and willingness to travel up to 10%. Training and certification provided as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong mechanical skills with forklifts, conveyors, dock doors, and more.
• Welding and metal fabrication expertise.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and safety practices.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own the Upkeep system: Track work orders, schedule repairs, and manage parts.
• Inspect, repair, and install equipment from forklifts to conveyors.
• Keep plant clean, organized, and production-ready.
• Follow OSHA standards and company protocols to ensure safety.
• Collaborate on LEAN improvements and special projects.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently (training provided).

Shift Details: Tuesday-Friday 3:30pm-2:00am

Pay: $30-34/hour depending on experience
