Job summary

Ben E. Keith Company is hiring a skilled maintenance technician for our facility. The role covers repair and maintenance of machinery, electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems, with emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferably a trade school credential, with two years of building and plant maintenance experience. EPA certification preferred, and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups.
• Ability to read sketches and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Installs electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors, and related equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance and tests equipment with instruments (voltmeter, ohmmeter, etc.).
• Test and calibrate pneumatic HVAC controls and refrigeration equipment.
• Perform daily inspections on refrigeration equipment and schedule major repairs.
• Perform skilled maintenance including welding, brazing, soldering, and plumbing.
• Maintain and repair pumps, fans, valves, motors, and relays.
• Organize tool room and spare parts storage; file daily work orders.
• Inspect emergency eyewash/showers as per procedures.
