Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician III for the 1st Shift in Dallas. You will diagnose and repair electro-mechanical equipment, perform detailed setup, and keep production lines running with preventive maintenance.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, associate degree preferred, and proficiency with electrical systems, blueprints, and PLCs. Overtime and standby work are expected; benefits start day one.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Able to work overtime and during standby assignments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems on equipment.
• Perform setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments.
• Repair and maintain mechanical components and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical control circuits and drives.
• Enter completed work in maintenance program and monitor parts usage.
• Train Level I mechanics on more complex tasks.

JOB DETAILS

Base Starting Wage

1st Shift:(6:00 AM - 4:00 PM). Monday-Frievery other Saturday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
• Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
• Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
• Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
• Intermediate understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
• Intermediate understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives
• Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues
• Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines
• Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components
• Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
• Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program
• Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
• Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA
• Train new and Level 1 mechanics in more complex tasks and skills

• Associates degree in related field is desired
• Minimum 5years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
• Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality
• Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations
• Ability to assist in Training Level I Technicians
• Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining)
• Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting
• Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
• Ability to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environment
• Flexible and willing to work overtime as required
