Job summary

Peli BioThermal in Maple Grove, MN is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician III to maintain and improve production equipment and facility systems. Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility systems.
  • Experience with industrial equipment, motor controls, and production machinery.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Ability to mentor junior technicians.
  • Technical certification or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on production equipment.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility issues.
  • Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve reliability and reduce downtime.

What You'll Do

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician III, you will serve as a key technical expert responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production equipment and facility systems. You will play a critical role in minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring a safe, efficient manufacturing environment. This position works independently on complex issues while supporting continuous improvement and mentoring team members.

  • Serve as a technical expert performing advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on production equipment, facility systems, and infrastructure.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility issues and implement lasting solutions.
  • Lead and support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Perform repairs, overhauls, upgrades, and installations on machinery and facility systems with minimal supervision.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Production teams to quickly resolve equipment issues and support production goals.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings to perform repairs, modifications, and equipment improvements.
  • Design, fabricate, and modify jigs, fixtures, and tooling to improve safety, efficiency, and performance.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with internal teams and external vendors to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and documentation to support compliance and operational excellence.
  • Support facility systems including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and safety systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Maintenance Technician I and II team members.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades, and facility enhancements.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance needs to ensure safe operations and minimize production downtime.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, technical education, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility systems.
  • Experience working with industrial equipment, motor controls, and production machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Experience supporting preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Ability to safely operate maintenance tools, shop equipment, forklifts, and lifts.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to mentor and support junior maintenance technicians.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to maintain maintenance documentation.
  • Technical certification, degree, or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical field preferred.
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and electrical troubleshooting preferred.
