Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive is hiring a Maintenance Technician II for Hill's Pet Nutrition in Bowling Green, Kentucky. You will maintain high-speed production and facility equipment, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems while adhering to GMPs and Hill's safety policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a Food Grade industrial maintenance setting OR 4+ years in general industrial maintenance.
• Must pass the Mechanical or Electrical SMT Test.
• Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, electrical systems up to 480V, welding, and fabrication.
• Strong communication for shift handovers and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting & Repair: diagnose and fix complex breakdowns in mechanical systems and conveyance.
• Electrical & Controls: troubleshoot distribution systems (up to 480 V) and control components; replace parts to minimize downtime.
• Preventive Maintenance: perform scheduled PMs to extend equipment life.
• Fabrication & Modification: weld, fabricate, and pipefit to enable process changes.
• System Operations: use SAP to create/confirm work orders, assign parts, and track labor.
• Safety & Compliance: follow GMPs and Hill's policies; maintain sanitation and speak up about hazards.
• Mentorship: train operation technicians and junior staff.
• Material Handling: operate tow motors and rigging as needed.
