Flowers Foods, Inc. is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Lynchburg, VA. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, safety, and equipment reliability. You will rotate across bakery areas, perform diagnostics, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Formación

• 1+ years of experience as a technician.
• Experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, electrical, industrial equipment, automotive repairs, or related field
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade certification is a plus

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate safe work habits and proper tool usage in maintenance tasks
• Perform preventative maintenance on specific equipment and lubricate components
• Identify wear, troubleshoot, and replace drive and conveyor components
• Use SAP software for parts checkout, reporting, and data entry
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow company policies

• Fulfill work schedules and attendance policies
• Possess or obtain licenses for boilers, refrigeration components, and related equipment

Bringing Home the Dough

Industrial Maintenance Technicians ensure optimal efficiency is achieved by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, with safety and quality standards being a top priority. They must possess a technical mindset and demonstrate strong mechanical capabilities, while being flexible and adaptable as they will be required to rotate job assignments throughout various areas of the bakery. Industrial Maintenance Technicians must have the aptitude and drive to seek and acquire on-going training due to ever evolving technological improvements and performance standards.

Role requires the ability to climb fixed and portable ladders to a height of twenty feet, the ability to stoop and bend while lifting weights up to fifty pounds, and the ability to climb onto and crawl under machinery as required.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, general shop practices, maintenance tasks, and general knowledge of support equipment
• Perform proper component lubrication and conduct preventive maintenance on specific equipment
• Identify mechanical wear and identify, troubleshoot, and replace mechanical drive and conveyor components
• Use SAP software for parts checkout, reporting, and general data entry
• Practice learned knowledge of environmental and maintenance programs
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
• Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment

Salary Range- 30.72-40.32
