Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician at its Colorado facilities to keep bakery equipment running safely and efficiently.

The role requires a technical mindset, the ability to climb ladders up to twenty feet, and readiness to rotate assignments across bakery areas. Ideal candidates have 1+ years of technician experience, HVAC/welding/electrical exposure, and a high school diploma or trade certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical/Trade School certification or diploma
• 1+ years of technician experience.
• Experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, electrical, industrial equipment, automotive repairs, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work habits and proper tool usage.
• Perform preventive maintenance on specific equipment.
• Identify mechanical wear and troubleshoot/replace drive and conveyor components.
• Use SAP software for parts checkout, reporting, and data entry.
• Follow environmental and maintenance programs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley).
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Possess or attain licenses required for boilers, refrigeration components and related equipment.

Industrial Maintenance Technicians ensure optimal efficiency is achieved by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, with safety and quality standards being a top priority. They must possess a technical mindset and demonstrate strong mechanical capabilities, while being flexible and adaptable as they will be required to rotate job assignments throughout various areas of the bakery. Industrial Maintenance Technicians must have the aptitude and drive to seek and acquire on-going training due to ever evolving technological improvements and performance standards.

Role requires the ability to climb fixed and portable ladders to a height of twenty feet, the ability to stoop and bend while lifting weights up to fifty pounds, and the ability to climb onto and crawl under machinery as required.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, general shop practices, maintenance tasks, and general knowledge of support equipment
• Perform proper component lubrication and conduct preventive maintenance on specific equipment
• Identify mechanical wear and identify, troubleshoot, and replace mechanical drive and conveyor components
• Use SAP software for parts checkout, reporting, and general data entry
• Practice learned knowledge of environmental and maintenance programs
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
• Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment

Salary Range- 31.35-33.00
