Job summary

O'Neal Manufacturing Services (ONI Company) is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment in our Kentucky plant. The role includes installing machines, diagnosing system malfunctions, and supporting safety and quality programs.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in manufacturing, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with CNC, PLC, and VFDs. Welding and forklift experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting for processing equipment (CNC, material handling, presses, lifting devices).
• Knowledge of predictive/preventive maintenance and pipefitting.
• Welding and oxyacetylene torch work proficiency; safe shop tools usage.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to workplace safety.
• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment in an industrial environment.
• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical equipment and fixtures using hand, power, and precision tools.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and components.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Balance and align equipment; perform rigging and safety-related tasks.
• Fabricate mechanical parts from metal as needed.
• Maintain electrical equipment to regulatory codes.
• Support safety and quality programs and follow established processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
