Job summary

Worthington Steel is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Columbus to keep industrial equipment running safely and reliably. The candidate may be at various experience levels and will be evaluated based on skills and demonstrated capabilities.

The role covers troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and reading complex prints. You will document work, collaborate with teams, and prioritize safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Experience in industrial or manufacturing equipment maintenance.
Mechanical troubleshooting and machine repair.
Reading mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment throughout the facility.
Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Read and use mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints and schematics.
Accurately document maintenance work in our maintenance system.
Partner with production and other team members to identify and resolve equipment issues.
Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, PPE, fall protection, and other applicable requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and prevent recurring problems.
