Job summary

JENNMAR Services in North Carolina is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, repair, and maintain plant equipment in an industrial setting. The role emphasizes hands-on work with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and offers overtime opportunities.

You will inspect machinery, adhere to safety programs, maintain logs, and work with vendors for specialized repairs while supporting 5S and continuous improvement efforts. Start at $28 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade certification preferred.
• Minimum two years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Experience with preventive maintenance systems and troubleshooting.
• NFPA 70E Training.
• Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout and OSHA safety programs.
• Basic PLC understanding preferred.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work safely at heights.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, and repair machinery, motors, and components.
• Follow safety programs including LOTO, Confined Space, and machine guarding.
• Inspect for hazards and correct issues promptly.
• Keep maintenance shop organized and safe.
• Support 5S and site housekeeping.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems to minimize downtime.
• Fabricate and modify metal assemblies and structures.
• Maintain maintenance logs and records.
• Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs.
• Assist with facility maintenance and building systems.
• Participate in continuous improvement and root-cause analysis.
