Job summary

Gibraltar Industries is seeking a skilled machinery technician to perform dismantling, assembling, installing, and maintaining complex industrial equipment. The role involves diagnosing and repairing electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, reading blueprints, and applying safety processes such as LOTO.

A HS Diploma/GED and 5+ years in manufacturing are required. The position emphasizes plant safety, troubleshooting, and collaboration with teams to keep production running

Qualifications

• Must have HS Diploma/GED and 5+ years manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, drawings, government regulations, professional journals, or business periodicals.
• Experience with regulatory agencies such as OSHA, EPA, DOT, ANSI and local agencies.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, assemble and install industrial machinery.
• Fabricate, install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery.
• Diagnose, repair and perform maintenance on power distribution, drives, microprocessors, relay logic, and control wiring.
• Repair and replace defective parts; install functional parts; lubricate and clean components.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and spare parts.
• Read blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot equipment promptly.
• Instruct employees on safe repair methods following LOTO and related programs.
• Install/repair manufacturing equipment as plant expert; enforce safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
