Job summary

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues with testing devices and schematics, install and upgrade systems, and collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime; the role requires strong hands-on skills and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical technology preferred.
• Experience: 3–5 years as an industrial maintenance technician, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
• Skills: Strong mechanical, analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance: Perform maintenance, inspections, PM’s and installs of production mechanical and electrical systems.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment and systems using testing devices and technical schematics.
• Repairs: Execute repairs on mechanical and electrical production equipment and systems.
• Installation: Install new mechanical and electrical equipment and systems as required, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
• Upgrades: Assist in the upgrading of existing mechanical and electrical systems to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards, including food safety protocols.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections; using CMMS system
• Collaboration: Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operations.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to mechanical and electrical emergencies, providing quick resolutions to prevent production interruptions.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Housekeeping: Perform routine housekeeping activities in the department and ensure adherence to established safety procedures and requirements.
• Other duties as required
