Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for keeping plant equipment and utilities functioning reliably.

You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and perform scheduled maintenance in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include installations, startups/shutdowns, line support, and adherence to OSHA/NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Technology
• 3–5 years of experience with electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Knowledge of safety standards and lock-out/tag-out procedures

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment as planned
• Inspect equipment and predict failures to minimize downtime
• Install and relocate equipment; startups and shutdowns per SOPs
• Assist with line start-up and equipment adjustments
• Maintain documentation and communicate progress to supervisor
