Job summary

Worthington Steel in Columbus is seeking a Maintenance Technician. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment while documenting work in our system and collaborating with production teams.

We value problem solvers with hands-on mechanical skills, open to all experience levels. The role involves a rotating shift schedule and a starting pay based on demonstrated capabilities and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance preferred, but willingness to learn is welcome.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and complex machinery.
• Familiarity with hydraulics/pneumatics and reading mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment across the facility.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Read and use mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints and schematics.
• Document maintenance work in the maintenance system.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve issues.
• Adhere to safety procedures including lockout/tagout and PPE.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
