Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable operation of engines, natural gas compressors, pumps, and related equipment across plant and field sites.

You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs, create work orders in Maximo, manage parts, and coordinate with other teams to support safe, efficient operations in varying weather and shifting schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of Natural Gas Characteristics, Engine and Compressor Operations and Maintenance.
• Ability to work a 5/2 or 7/7 rotation schedule including overtime, weekends, holidays, with call outs.
• Possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform top-end and major maintenance on engines and related components per manufacturer guidance.
• Inspect equipment, spills, fire safety, and monitor instrument readings and tank levels.
• Perform routine startup/shutdown of field equipment such as pumps and compressors.
• Create and manage work orders in Maximo; order parts for completion.
• Adhere to safety policies, lockout/tagout, and permit requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments for commissioning and field support.
