Job summary

WEIDMANN Electrical Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Multicraft Maintenance Technician in Urbana, OH. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment and electrical systems in a manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes electrical troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, and welding/fabrication to keep equipment running and improve reliability. A minimum of 8 years in heavy industry and an associate degree or equivalent hands-on experience is required.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
8+ years of experience in a manufacturing/heavy industrial environment.
Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair, welding/fabrication.
Ability to diagnose root causes and perform reliable repairs independently.
Experience with 480V 3-phase systems, motors, controls, PLCs, and VFDs.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair 480V 3-phase electrical systems, motors, relays, switches, sensors, VFDs, and controls.
Repair mechanical components such as pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Welding/fabrication to support repairs and continuous improvement projects.
Take precise measurements with micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Read blueprints and electrical/mechanical drawings; coordinate with Maintenance and Production to improve reliability.
