Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Madison, WI to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues across production equipment, buildings, and facilities. The role includes installing components, maintaining panels, motors, and controls according to drawings, codes, and safety requirements.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in a maintenance tech role, strong problem-solving and reading schematics, and the ability to lift 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a maintenance technical role.
• Strong electrical, mechanical and fluid power knowledge.
• Able to read electrical and fluid power schematics and mechanical blueprints.
• Fork truck license and operation of mobile equipment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and analytical problem solving.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with JDE preferred.
• Able to lift 75 lbs; work indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical issues and maintain production equipment.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance tasks.
• Install new equipment and work with production staff.
• Follow safety policies and use appropriate test instruments.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and facilities.
• Work from drawings and blueprints.
