Job summary

Lake Cable, a leading US manufacturer of high‑quality cables, seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep our Midwest plant operating at full capacity and to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.

The role involves dismantling, repairing, installing equipment, wiring panels, and supporting ISO/records paperwork. It requires reading diagrams (German equipment) and independent work, with shift rotations and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School, GED or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience as Maintenance Technician or Electrical Technician.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements (Lock Out/Tag Out, electrical codes, HMIS/MSDS, waste disposal).
• Able to read electrical diagrams/blueprints (German equipment).

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, rebuild and reassemble machinery.
• Install wiring of electronic devices and electrical panels.
• Install new and used equipment and maintain machinery to keep peak performance.
• Adhere to safety and environmental standards and ISO-related documentation.

Strong mechanical aptitude

Electrical wiring knowledge

120V/240V/480V 3‑phase knowledge

Read/interpret maintenance manuals/diff

Independent worker / self-starter

Over-time availability

Written and verbal communication

Forklift experience
