Job summary

Westmag is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment and facility systems in peak condition as drone motors and robot actuators scale. The role involves preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, quick response to breakdowns, and collaboration with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.

You will read schematics and P&ID drawings, perform electrical and mechanical repairs, and maintain detailed logs in the CMMS.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems independently
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments
• Authorized to work in the United States; California driver license preferred

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults
• Replace and calibrate worn components including motors, bearings, belts, sensors, and tooling
• Troubleshoot 120/240/480V electrical systems and PLC-based equipment
• Read electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and P&ID drawings
• Lockout/tagout per Cal/OSHA 8 CCR §3314 requirements
• Maintain CMMS logs, work orders, and parts usage records
• Respond to emergencies and minimize downtime
• Identify recurring failures and propose root-cause solutions
