Job summary

CMC is seeking a maintenance technician to monitor, inspect, and repair heavy industrial equipment across our facilities. You’ll work with cranes, machines, and shop equipment, with training provided and rotating shifts that may require overtime.

Must follow OSHA safety policies, have 4+ years in a heavy industrial environment, and be able to read technical manuals. High school diploma or GED required; welding skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outside in heat and cold.
• Welding skills preferred.
• Able to read technical documents and service manuals.
• Mechanically and electrically inclined with industrial experience.
• Experience servicing and repairing industrial equipment.
• Follow OSHA/EPA safety policies and regulations.
• Minimum 4 years in heavy industrial environment.
• Strong work ethic and safety habits.
• Hydraulics knowledge is a plus.
• Team player in a fast-paced setting with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect equipment for defects.
• Participate in safety programs and uphold safety culture.
• Perform repair tasks safely using hand, power, and precision tools at various heights.
• Maintain and repair shop machinery including cranes, shears, benders, welders.
• Work with technicians on job orders and troubleshooting.
• Maintain housekeeping and keep tools in good condition.
• Document maintenance activities and update work orders in systems.
