Job summary

The Home Depot in Dallas is seeking a skilled technician to oversee, maintain and repair equipment in a busy warehouse environment. You will troubleshoot electric lift and conveyor systems and perform preventative maintenance.

This role requires safety compliance, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work a flexible schedule. You will report to the Area Supervisor and contribute to a safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Experience working on conveyor systems.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a trade school degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs electric lift equipment, conveyor systems, as well as technical, mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic issues; understands and troubleshoots conveyor operating system logic.
• Performs preventative maintenance and necessary modifications on electric lift equipment, conveyor systems and buildings.
• Provides equipment status reports, including details of unusual maintenance problems.
• Follows all safety guidelines established by manufacturer, Home Depot, or government agencies; adheres to all safety codes and OSHA standards.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment, performing daily cleanup of work areas.
