Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Forklift Repair to ensure the safe, reliable operation of powered industrial trucks within the facility. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, perform preventive maintenance, and repair forklifts and related material‑handling equipment to minimize downtime and support operations.

You will uphold safety standards, keep accurate service records, and collaborate with operations teams to identify equipment needs and optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum required knowledge/abilities acquired through trade school or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and diagnostics.
• Mechanical inclination and hands-on diagnostic ability.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs electric lift equipment, conveyor systems and related mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues.
• Performs preventative maintenance and necessary modifications on equipment and buildings.
• Provides equipment status reports detailing maintenance problems.
• Follows safety guidelines and OSHA standards.
• Maintains a clean, safe working environment.
