Job summary

voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak LLC in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and CNC systems. You will support equipment reliability through operator training, work order management, and spare parts inventory control, with exposure to PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and 480 VAC wiring.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, safety discipline, and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Technical training in mechanical maintenance is preferred.
• Forklift and Crane certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and CNC systems.
• Train operators on preventive maintenance and manage work orders.
• Layout, install and start up project work; organize spare parts inventory.
