Job summary

Wilkes-Barre is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on facility equipment and infrastructure. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and basic control issues, document work in CMMS, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years industrial maintenance experience, and the ability to read schematics and manuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical/vocational training in industrial maintenance preferred.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, facilities, or similar environment preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and supporting infrastructure in accordance with established schedules and priorities.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime and maintain optimal equipment performance.
• Inspect machinery and equipment regularly to identify potential failures, safety concerns, or performance issues and escalate findings to the Maintenance Manager.
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders; document work performed, parts used, and time spent in the CMMS, if applicable.
• Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment, including mechanical assembly, basic wiring, alignment, and testing.
