Job summary

Advanced Technology Services (ATS) in Muskegon, MI seeks a skilled maintenance technician to perform mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance in a fast-paced factory environment. Diagnose equipment problems, disassemble devices, replace parts and test performance to ensure reliable operation.

You will work with a team, use CMMS to update history, follow 5S standards, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical associate preferred.
• 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years if not completing ATS program.
• Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems; can analyze problems and repair.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Performs mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance.
• Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary.
• Operates multiple machining operations and may perform welding tasks.
• Follows 5S standards and maintains CMMS history; participates in CI activities.
• Troubleshoots control systems and analyzes software/hardware issues.
• Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to small teams.
• Completes on-the-job and technical self-study programs for career development.
• Adheres to safety policies and identifies unsafe conditions.
