Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a maintenance technician in the United States to troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment while upholding a safe work environment and Tyson policies. The role includes a 6:00pm to 6:00am rotating schedule and is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid after 90 and 180 days, with rehiring restrictions noted.

The position requires mechanical aptitude and at least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience or related education.

Qualifications

• Must have applied mechanical ability as shown in work history.
• Have 1 year industrial maintenance experience and/or industrial maintenance education.
• Candidates who previously worked for Tyson have a minimum 90-day rehiring wait period and are limited to 3 times of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, cutting, electrical repair and troubleshooting, removing/replacing motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water pipes, valves, lines and systems.
• Read & understand assignments.
• Communicate orally & in writing.
• Use basic knowledge of math, use various electrical & pneumatic power tools & equipment.
• Be required to read drawings & schematics of hydraulic & basic electrical systems.
• Complete all required training for the job.
