Vermont Cider Company is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our 3rd shift team in Middlebury, VT.

- 3rd/Weekend Shift: add $2.00 per hour for all hours worked on Saturday & Sunday. In addition, if you work the full 36 hours you will get paid 4 hours as a shift premium - so work 36 hours and get paid 40!

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of mechanical and electrical functions to include installation, maintenance and repair of production equipment.
- Work with Maintenance, Production and Management teams to maintain productivity and safety throughout the VCC facility.
- Inspect, test, and adjust all systems, machinery, and equipment on a regular basis.
- Record all inspections, tests, and repairs on CMMS system (Guide TI).
- Respond to verbal or written instructions for safety and security calls regarding machinery.
- Respond to verbal, written or work order generated requests for safety and functional concerns regarding machinery.
- Inspect damaged parts, determine the nature of repair and use critical thinking to replace, rework or refinish worn or damaged parts.
- Perform equipment changeover and setup for new product formats.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) to increase equipment reliability and up time.
- Follow all safety guidelines to ensure safe work practices are used to ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
- Comply with all VCC policies and procedures, ensuring that all activities are conducted within local, state and federal laws.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
- Prior electrical and mechanical experience helpful.
- Strong interpersonal skills working in a team environment.
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience in high-speed packaging and/or highly automated continuous process environment .
- Ability to perform mechanical work, replacement of motors, valves, and field devices.
- The technician must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis, and work at heights.
