Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Bardstown, KY is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to maximize bake line uptime, rotate through plant areas, and uphold safety and quality standards.

You should have strong mechanical skills, a hands-on mindset, and a willingness to pursue ongoing training as technology evolves. The role offers a competitive salary range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, electrical, industrial equipment, automotive repairs, or related field
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade certification a plus

Responsibilities

• Learn and demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, and general shop practices
• Perform proper component lubrication and assist with preventive maintenance, as needed
• Practice learned knowledge of environmental and maintenance programs
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
• Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment

Industrial Maintenance Technicians ensure optimal efficiency is achieved by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, with safety and quality standards being a top priority. They must possess a technical mindset and demonstrate strong mechanical capabilities, while being flexible and adaptable as they will be required to rotate job assignments throughout various areas of the bakery. Industrial Maintenance Technicians must have the aptitude and drive to seek and acquire on-going training due to ever evolving technological improvements and performance standards.
