Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician at our Bardstown, KY bakery to maintain equipment and support safe, efficient production.

The role requires a technical mindset, ability to rotate assignments across bakery areas, and ongoing training to stay current with equipment and performance standards. Responsibilities include safe work practices, lubrication, preventive maintenance, clean work areas, adherence to company policies, and obtaining licenses to work with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade certification is a plus.
• Experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, electrical, or related industrial maintenance fields.

Responsibilities

• Learn and demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool usage, and general shop practices.
• Perform lubrication and assist with preventive maintenance as needed.
• Apply environmental and maintenance programs as learned.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Safety, Sarbanes-Oxley).
• Perform other duties as assigned by management, including work schedules and attendance rules.
• Possess or obtain licenses to work with boilers, refrigeration components, and related equipment.

Industrial Maintenance Technicians ensure optimal efficiency is achieved by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, with safety and quality standards being a top priority. They must possess a technical mindset and demonstrate strong mechanical capabilities, while being flexible and adaptable as they will be required to rotate job assignments throughout various areas of the bakery. Industrial Maintenance Technicians must have the aptitude and drive to seek and acquire on-going training due to ever evolving technological improvements and performance standards.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

• Learn and demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, and general shop practices
• Perform proper component lubrication and assist with preventive maintenance, as needed
• Practice learned knowledge of environmental and maintenance programs
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
• Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment

Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, electrical, industrial equipment, automotive repairs, or related field

Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent. Technical/Trade School certification or diploma a plus

Salary Range: $31 - $36 per hour
