Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance tasks and special projects, including repairs, installations, adjustments, parts replacement, and routine and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
• Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear, and repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
• Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
• Provide a means of notification/communication during non-working hours for emergencies and respond to emergency call-ins within 30 minutes.
• Ensure shop and surrounding areas remain clean by removing all debris from work areas, benches, and break rooms.
• Maintain a safe work environment by eliminating unsafe acts or conditions.
• Utilize cutting and welding, hydraulics, filter systems, pipe fitting/plumbing, shop equipment operations, sheet metal fabrication, pneumatics, electrical wiring, and motors.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed to support Farmer Focus business objectives.

• Proficiency with tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Good problem‑solving skills and basic math skills.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehending English.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Work Environment

Access required to the poultry production environment. Must tolerate varying heat, wet, and chill conditions of the plant. Hearing and eye protective equipment is required in the production area. Required to wear hair and beard nets in the production area.
