Job summary

Pitney Bowes in Levittown, PA is seeking an onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician for 1st shift (Sun–Thu, 6:45 AM–3:15 PM EST). You will troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on mail-sort equipment and related production machinery.

This role emphasizes proactive maintenance, efficient use of tablet tracking for work and downtime, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment.
• Strong familiarity servicing conveyor machines, PLC systems, and other electromechanical production equipment.
• Experience using a multimeter or other electronic testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals, and parts diagrams.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to automated equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under deadline pressures.
• Lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations; capable of 80% standing/walking.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs of conveyer machines, PLC systems, and other electromechanical production equipment.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery including belt/pulley systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, motors, sensors, and relays.
• Complete preventative maintenance according to industry quality standards.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns or emergency situations.
• Utilize inventory, PM schedule, and work order systems to reduce downtime.
• Maintain spare parts inventory using Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
• Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs promptly.
• Utilize a tablet to track assigned work, machine downtime, and inventory used in repair.
• Perform all additional duties as required.

Pitney Bowes is seeking an onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician, 1st Shift in our Levittown, Pennsylvania Presort Services facility.

Your hourly pay rate is $29 with the possibility of overtime.

Your 1st Shift work schedule will be Sunday through Thursday from 6:45AM - 3:15PM EST.

You are a performance-driven contributor who can effectively troubleshoot, repair, or diagnose complex mechanical or electrical issues on industrial equipment. You are a Self-motivated individual who seeks opportunities to improve current practices increasing efficiency and reducing downtime of industrial mail sorting equipment.

You will:

• Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs of conveyer machines, PLC systems, and other industrial types of electromechanical production equipment (Mail Sorters/ Printers)
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery including belt/pulley systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, motors, photo-eyes, relays, drive assemblies, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids.
• Complete preventative maintenance according to industry quality standards
• Respond to equipment breakdown or emergency situations.
• Utilize inventory, pm schedule, and work order systems to effectively reduce downtime.
• Maintain the spare parts/supply inventory utilizing Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
• Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.
• Utilize a tablet to track assigned work and machine downtime as well as inventory used in repair.
• Perform all additional duties as required.

Your background as an onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician, you have:

• Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, establish priorities, and work under deadline pressures.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations.
• The ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodation.
