Job summary

Pentair plc is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for 1st shift at our Chardon, OH facility. You will perform general maintenance on automated, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment along with preventative maintenance per outlined programs.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, setting up drives, reading schematics, documenting needs, and ensuring accurate repairs. 1st shift hours are 6:45am-5:15pm, with overtime available.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of prior Industrial Maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of electrical up to 480V.
• Strong mathematical and mechanical reasoning and critical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment in the manufacturing facility.
• Install and set up AC & DC drives; troubleshoot 480V 3‑phase motor controls and basic PLCs.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to program outlines.
• Read diagrams, schematics, instructions and technical manuals and verify repairs.
• Perform other duties in production area as needed based on business demands.

Job Description: Industrial Maintenance Technician 1st shift

We have an opportunity for an Industrial Maintenance Tech to join our Chardon, OH facility.

You will perform a variety of general maintenance tasks on automated, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, including repairs, as well as preventative maintenance according to program outlines.

You will:

• Be responsible for trouble shooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment within the manufacturing facility.
• Install and set up AC & DC drives and troubleshoot 480V 3-phase motor circuit controls and perform basic troubleshooting of PLC’s.
• Conduct preventative maintenance according to program outlines.
• Report and/or document supplies needed.
• Read/understand diagrams, schematics, instructions and technical manuals.
• Verify accuracy and completion of repairs.
• Perform other duties or work in a production area as needed based upon business demands.

Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 50lbs.

Successful completion of a written & hands-on skills test.

Key Requirements:

• Must have at least 3-5 years of prior Industrial Maintenance experience
• Must have knowledge of working with electrical up to 480
• Must have mathematical and mechanical reasoning abilities along with critical thinking skills and the ability to develop new ways to troubleshoot tough problems

Position hours/shifts (Overtime Available!):

1st Shift: 1st: 6:45am-5:15pm Monday - Thursday

Compensation:

The pay range for the Tech II to Tech III will be: $28 to $38 DOE. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Determination of pay rate may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.

Hiring Bonus:

$1000 paid out at $500 at 3 months and $500 at 6 months.
